Labrador Retrievers often tend to gulp food quickly. The dry food kibble is specially shaped to encourage chewing.

Dry and wet food can be combined. Dry food contains a high concentration of nutrients and can support dental hygiene through the mechanical abrasion of plaque during chewing.
Wet food has a naturally higher moisture content and can therefore support fluid intake and normal urinary tract function.
