Very large breed puppies take approximately 18-24 months to reach their adult weight of 45+ kg. During this time, their nutritional needs change, which is why Royal Canin has developed two food varieties: Royal Canin Giant Puppy, which is fed between 2 and 8 months of age, and this formula – Royal Canin Giant Junior – for the period from 8 to 18/24 months.

Royal Canin Giant Junior contains an adjusted protein content to support muscle growth between 8 and 18/24 months of age. It also includes nutrients such as vitamins C and E , which have been shown to support the development of the puppy’s immune system. Oversized dogs also have sensitive digestive systems and can be prone to diarrhea and flatulence. The combination of beneficial prebiotics (such as FOS, MOS, and beet pulp) and highly digestible proteins can support optimal digestion and thus nutrient absorption.

Dehydrated poultry protein, maize, maize meal, rice, animal fat, wheat gluten*, wheat meal, dried beet pulp, hydrolyzed animal protein, minerals, soybean oil, yeast products, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolyzed yeast (source of mannan-oligosaccharides and beta-glucans, 0.30%), Schizochytrium sp. algal oil (source of DHA), Yucca schidigera juice, marigold meal, glucosamine from fermentation, hydrolyzed cartilage (source of chondroitin).
*LIP: Proteins selected for their very high digestibility.
